The の (no) particle is used to define what belongs to whom or what. To do this we formulate like this: who owns の possession

わたし の こんそうる (My console) . Here it is こんそうる (console) which is possessed by わたし (me).

びょういん の いし (the doctor hospital). Here いし (doctor) is from びょういん (hospital) so の makes it possible to link the two, in English の would be "of".
